The best hotel in Paris doesn't really exist. It all depends on the neighborhood you want to be in and your budget. So instead of an endless list of the best hotels in Paris, here are three I really love, each for a different reason.
Le Massé, New and Modern
If you want something recent and full of personality, I love the Hôtel Massé, in South Pigalle in the 9th. It's a small hotel designed as a refuge in the middle of a lively neighborhood, with a careful decor and a real identity, far from the soulless big chains. A nice bonus, its bar Le Trente is one of the trendiest spots of the moment, so you have the perfect apéro right downstairs. Ideal if you want to live the Paris of today, in a central, lively area.
The TOO Hôtel, for the View
If what you want above all is the view, then the TOO Hôtel is the one for you. It sits at the top of one of the Duo towers designed by Jean Nouvel, in the 13th, and it was imagined by Philippe Starck. The rooms are designed so the bed faces the view, with Paris spreading out at your feet all the way to the Eiffel Tower. And right at the top, the TacTac rooftop is the highest in the city. It's a bit out of the way from the major monuments, but for waking up above Paris, there's nothing like it.
The Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, at the Foot of the Iron Lady
And if your dream is to wake up with the Eiffel Tower right in front of you, go to the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, on the Left Bank in the 15th. It's probably the closest hotel to the tower, just steps away. Many rooms have a direct view and a balcony, and seeing the tower sparkle at night from your bed is a memory that stays with you. It's a big, very well kept hotel, perfect for a stay where the Eiffel Tower is the star.
